That is dumb to say and completely untrue. I said I was let down by his subpar performance after ESPN has gave him the reach around all off season. I tuned in to watch him destroy UNC. I wanted to see a show. I cannot stand John Manziel as a person (my perception of him anyhow) but see he is very talented. I do not dislike a player based on what team or conference they play in. I don't even hate Michigan players.
I guarantee Clowney listened to scouts and tried to bulk up too much this past off-season instead of just playing at a lean bodyweight. A guy 10-15 lbs heavier than he needs to be really screws one up. Two to three games in and that fat will be off his body. His upside is incredible.
If you actually watched Clowney last year pre - Outback bowl, this shouldn't be too surprising. Spurrier even made a lot of tongue in cheek comments about him during training camp. I have no reason to not like him, I think he's insanely good, but he took off plays last year, and in the games they lost, especially the UF game, he all but quit and CBS showed him pouting on the sideline. Last night was the extreme, but this is nothing new.
What about fans of a particular SEC team, but not the SEC? I know you like me, and even though Hook and I have a thing going, there's always room for one more.
I know, I was just saying hi. I always miss the good college football threads, and by the time I get a jab in the thread is gone
Yeah... the guy is a freak of nature, for sure. But this is two straight weeks of being extremely average. Brett might be spot-on. He looks heavy... fatigues easily. As of now, I'd draft and/or give the Heisman to tOSU's backup QB over him
Take a look again, he hurt his knee before the big hit, the hit that knocked his helmet off was a spear.
Damn. I forgot all about that hit.... but I do remember the scoreboard, and the record between the two teams over the last dozen years
