Hey guys, I've planted a clover plot with evolved harvest and I can not get my clover to get big. Not sure if it's the type of clover or what? Any ideas? Suggestions on good clover seed?
are you doing soil tests? that is one of the biggest things people neglect and is one of the biggest things that can help your food plots.
Yes, the ph isn't off very far, I have already applied some lime also. I'm going to mix some winter peas in the clover as well.
When did you plant? If it's white clover, it should take a while for it to establish. Also, I would consider using something other than nitrogen fertilizer out. It wouldn't hurt, but personally I'd look at something like 0-20-20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I will be applying a 13-6-6 as well, 0-20-20 is only a phosphorous and potassium fertilizer, potassium is just a root builder and phosphorus aids in blooming and fruiting, it would help with the blooms on clover but that's about it. We tend to have a lot of phosphorus in this neck of the woods. I work for an environmental company, we take over 1000 soil samples a year. They actually mine for phosphorus in florida and the state tends to strictly regulate how much we put out. It hasn't been out very long so it probably needs more time!
