Last year we planted this small field in clover, hoping to have a great food/harvest plot for years to come. It had been a brassica plot the year before and I decided I wanted something that would be more attractive early fall through the rut.

Here it is right after planting last summer, using Whitetail Select Infinity Clover:

Here it is last Fall while I hunted over it. We added sorghum around the perimeter to give it that secluded feeling. It was planted too thick and soon tipped over but it did work well for most of the early part of deer season:

Here it is a week ago before mowing:

Very nice! Just planted mine a few days ago and finally got some rain today on it. My clover, beans, and plot screen should be starting to grow with this next weeks forecast.

Nice and lush! I haven't checked my honey holes in a few weeks, I hope they look this good.

Thanks everyone! I cannot wait to get back down there to see what it looks like after the mowing. I forgot to take a picture of our other plot while we were down last time as well. That one had more weeds in it than the one above so I am hoping the mowing takes care of that. Will keep ya updated!

How low did you mow it?

I would say it's no less than 6" high after mowing.
