This maybe a no brainer, but I am just looking for some input on what you guys do with your clothes during season between hunts. I am now trying to take as many precautions concerning scent elimination before I get into the woods, but after I am done hunting what do you guys do with your clothes. How often do you wash your hunting clothes? Where do you store them during season? Right now I just keep all my clothes (base layers and bibs) outside hanging underneath some trees in my backyard. I also keep my boats underneath the same tree. If it rains, my plan is to put them in the shed. Is this wise, unwise, are there better methods? Thanks for the input and advice.
All mine stay in a rubber maid tote with scent wafers. After the season is over they get washed in baking soda and into the tote
I keep all my gear in totes like ^ said. As far as washing goes...I wash all my base layers after every hunt...and then all my outer wear as needed...usually after a week. After they are wash I spray them with a scent eliminator and let them dry outside, then I sprinkle baking soda on them when I put them back in the totes.
I wash them in Scent Killer detergent if I got pretty sweaty, then I leave them outside with my boots between hunts. Stuff I haven't worn or don't use too much stay in a bin. Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2
Wash my base layers after each hunt, and others as needed. Store them in a large Tupperware container with pine needles that I break up. I will try to dry them outside. I've been using the dryer sheets that smell like dirt, does the dryer mess up the scent prep?
I leave my outter clothing in a black plastic bag with pine needles in it. The bag never leaves my truck!
Sealed scent safe bag, wash outers once a season umless they get badly soiled. Base layers washed if i get sweaty. All stuff stays in back seat of my truck
I keep them in a big ziploc then in a tote. The only thing I wear thats not in the tote is my jeans and they get soaked in scent killer right before hunt.
i just wash them in dead down wind and hang them from the rafters in the basement. i just spray down with scent killer before i go out and i shoot deer off of the ground all the time. A lot of the stuff like the carbon bags are unnecessary in my opinion just depends on how you want to spend your money! just play the wind and use some precaution and youll be successful
