    I don't have pics but I know of two 2 year old 8 pointers that are in that 100 inch range that were found dead on my neighbors land last weekend. Both were wounded gun hunting this year. Makes me sick.

    Not sure...he was all eaten from the mid chesy back...guessing gut shot or hit in the butt?

    He is tagged and reported ...he is now my property....I would not know where to begin looking for the guy that killed it but it's been dead at least 4 days... no one asked the farmer if they could look for a buck...it was well onto the property I hunt...

    Shotgun season brings the trespassers to this farmer's property ... and guys that drive around winging bullets at every brown thing they see ..so. I doubt it....

    guessing the deer has been dead for 4 days....


    So I took some early measurements .... 19.5" inside spread and 4." bases ....

    Damn, he was a good one!! Are you sure a gun hunter shot him or perhaps died from the wound you put on him? At least he fell where you could find him and have that closure most don't get.

    She still wanted it on our wall....LOL ...she doesn't understand why I wouldn't get a shoulder mount..

    I guess that is possible that a little cut could do that ....but I doubt it...I saw him 2 weeks after I nicked him and he was fine ...

    I'm pretty sure he died from the wound you put on him, had a bad infection that set up and he died. (I can vouch for you if you'd like) :tu:

    Went back and found your original post, somehow I missed it. Yeah, I'd be shocked if what you did to him actually killed him. Sucks though. I'd still find a cape for it and get it done.
