Unfortunately I hunt public land and there are 2-3 deer camps that blast anything legal or sometimes illegal during gun season. I know that isn't an excuse for hunters that want trophy bucks, but it is what it is. The small chunk of public property that I hunt now has 14 different bucks on camera, with 5 of them being legal to shoot based on our antler point restrictions.
If memory serves, that is up in the Manistee area? Best wishes during the rut. It is certainly difficult for those who do not live in a state like MI to understand the conflict when you see a buck with potential.....knowing the first yahoo that spots him on November 15 is going to drop the hammer and brag to all his buddies. If you are seeing that quantity of bucks, you will hopefully get a poke at a nice one.
