    Had a bit of a scare today. Was headed down the tree and had to maneuver around a bulge I do this by lifting the footer piece with my toes while supporting with my other foot. The strap slipped off the holding foot and my footer dropped to the bottom of the tree leaving me hanging 15' up. The connecting rope that's supposed to prevent that from happening must have come untied. I was able to lift the bottom back up by fishing my compound bow through one of the slots and using it to lift the bottom. If anyone ever asks if a bear mauler can support a tree stand. The answer is yes. Also check your knots. I forgot.

    Yeah, I learned that the hard way last year. My stands actually have straps instead of tied rope because of that reason.

    Ah man, I can only imagine the frustration of that! Thanks for sharing though, Im sure youve reminded atleast 1 person other than me to check our knots. Thanks!
