thats was one of my concerns But I don not think it would. It's our human smell that screws us up. One morning hunt I grabbed the wrong deoderant and put on my normal stuff which has a pretty strong scent. (old spice fresh) Not only did I not get blown but I saw more deer from that stand then ever before and they looked like they were looking for something sniffin around. I thought it was them catching my wind but an old timmer I know said they were looking for the sweet smell of my deoderant. If thats what really worked Im using flippin fabreeze for a spray down from now on lmoa.

I know a guy that has used his wife's perfume as a cover scent. Now we hunt urban subdivisions so the tactics we use are very different than open woods hunters. But the same principle applies. The deer were not spooked by the perfume but human scent will at very least put them on high alert.
I'm not switching from my ThermaCell.

I'll just keep with the ThermaCELL guys because they were the first to bring it off. Everybody I know learned about ThermaCELL through word of mouth and Off! was the first one to put a commercial on TV and market that way.

I hunt mainly bottom land so I will not hunt without the therma cell. The fan did not do nearly as well in my opinion. Your experience may be different though.

For me at least, the clip on doesn't work even half as good as the Thermacell.

I have not even tried it yet. I think after everythig I have heard I will just stick to my thermacell especially for as much as I have need it here in Illinois.
One thing that I have used that sounds crazy but I wanted to try it was a product called sol-u-mel by a company called Melaleuca. Its one of those self from home companies that a family memebers sells. It's a clearner but she said it repels bubs too. So I tried it out on day and not one bite and the smell never got me busted either.
