Maybe the philosophical question arises of what is the meaning of life? Or what is our purpose on earth?
How do you feel about the death penalty or the invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan etc. in the name of terrorism? Is killing justified in some cases but not all? How do you feel about assisted suicide for terminally ill or very aged individuals who have no future at all? Are these different things? In all cases there is a beating heart. T

I will one day find my purpose on earth. Hopefully. As for the purpose of all humans, I can't see one. Shoot even if I were a Christian what's the point of living a mortal life when I would be living an eternal life in heaven? As a test? Why have a test when we could all be happy and living a good life on heaven?
Interesting points... if this test is "forgivable" by God, then what is the point of even trying? Do the 6 billion non Christians (and growing quickly) have no place in heaven? Do they have a different purpose... do they have purpose when we do not... does it matter? Are their beliefs wrong when "ours" are right.. or vice verse? Does this thought pattern not simply lead to resentment, mistrust, bias, racism, and war... are these not things that all religions apparently try to prevent? Great questions and dialoging... thanks! Ma'am, there's lotsa folks started out with less than nothing and lived a full and happy life. Most of those are white folks, but still (lol). I don't believe in destiny, sounds a little to Calvinistic to me. It is true the numbers are against those who are raised in a 1 person house are statistically going to have a rough life. But then there's Bill Clinton and Barack Husein Obama, okay, your right. Shoulda aborted 'em.

I didn't watch. I am completely and emphatically against abortion. It's a sickening afterthought. I look at my daughter and my wife's pregnant stomach and it makes me sick that someone would want to murder such precious life. I'd be careful of your interpretation of the Bible. God chooses to take life just as He is the one to give it. God didn't "abort" races, he destroyed cities of the wicked. We are all subject to death and we all deserve hell, but his salvation gives eternal life. When God destroyed cities and killed all who live in it, children not old enough to understand salvation were delivered unto him in Heaven. I guess if you don't believe in God I can see how life and death would be a finite amount of time (time on Earth) however life and death is beyond this earth.
