It is kinda innate and natural for a species to protect their young. You know...survival of the species and all that. Now it's true that we could probably lose millions of humans and still survive, but it is still ingrained within us to protect within the species.

No problem, I submit you will have 100% agreement on the above, IF the caveat the baby can be adopted. Don't you think there are a lot of children born of parents to lazy to get an abortion, just the one's you (and I) want to avoid? Do you not think some portion of these situations are created by the idea of an easy out, that the laziness of the individual prohibits? How many of these babies are born who would not have been if the parents would have understood sex has consequences?
Even billions hooker. Millions is nothing. I think the common argument is that we have souls and capable of higher thinking. Personally I believe we should take precedence but every living being should be treated with care. I've seen a lot of people abuse animals and I find that sick.

Yes. If the adoption system wasn't broken I'd say outlaw abortion. But with what I perceive the as a broken system and probably terrible childhood an d possibly adult life, I think it's better to not bring the child in at all.
