I am in the market for a new tree stand. All of you Viper fans, do you think the TITAN by Summit is as good as the VIPER? VIPEr sound like a great stand, but I want the added space. From all I can tell they are the same, just the Titan is larger. I want the capacity but the space. New to tree stands, always stalk hunted on the ground. I think I am issuing out by not being a tree...however would rather be free on the ground...any thoughts would be appreciated!
Not sure what the weight difference is, or how far you have to pack in. Thats something i would consider. Also i have and love 2 vipers...plenty of room for me.
I have a pair of Vipers..... they are fanatic, easy to use, relatively quite for a climbing stand and fairly light weight....not to mention they are VERY comfortable. I cant imagine a bigger version being as less satisfactory...only downside is the added weight and size for transport. I plan on adding an open type climber to the mix this year....most likely a summit also.
The Viper is a great stand(I have one)but a good friend just got the Titan.And I tried it out and I REALLY like the extra room and it ain't really no heaver then my Viper.I am 6'3" and 220lbs.and just that little extra room was great.
