Hey guys, I'm looking for a good set of climbing sticks that won't break the bank! I hunt public land a lot and I feel that it would be great to use if I have a spot I know I'm hunting for a few days! Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I know Rivers edge makes some pretty good ones at a great price, so does Ameristep. I've never used them, but it's all my neighbor uses. Big Game as some as well, they are slightly more expensive but they won't break the bank.

Check out Hawk. They make some real great sticks at good prices and they are light. Trust me when I say spend a little money and get good sticks. Last think you want is to be dragging around heave sticks and a stand. You will kills yourself out there.

I bought 4 rivers edge segments for like $12 a piece. Get me in the tree just fine.

Yes. I like sticks with three steps and pegs on Botha sides. Trying to hang a stand with all your weight on one leg the whole time is a pain in the...leg.

Amazon and Sportsman Guide has three Guide Gear sticks for $29.99 + $8.99 shipping. Do a search for climbing sticks on either of those. They are great steps and last count I have over 30 of them. I'm pretty sure they are River's Edge brand because they are identical.

I honestly thought about doing that. Just buying the lone wolf hang on and the sticks. Wouldn't be the first time I payed that much for a stand! I payed almost 400 after shipping for my TreeWalker climber. But it was well worth it. I'm manly wanting to try a hang on out for hunting one spot on public land for a weekend so I do t have to climb a tree every day
