I don't have the Lone Wolf Sticks but I'm sure they are great because they are light and packable. Like a couple of you guys I have a few sets of the Wally World/Menards sticks and they work great even with big feet and heavy body weight. These sticks nest together to make a ladder and are secured together with a large pin. I usually put up 3-4 stands (Boss XL models $80 bucks a pop) and have a set of sticks for each one. Here's the kicker. I hunt only on public land so I've always been a bit nervous about putting up the Lone Wolf stands and sticks. The stands and sticks are safe and only about 10 pounds heavier as a whole.

If you plan on leaving them up, then by all means get some cheap but heavy steel sticks. For mobility absolutely Lone Wolf climbing sticks!

I may move some stands around tweaking them every now and then but once I get them up they are usually set for at least a few days. For you guys that have the Lone Wolf set up do you take them down and put them up for each hunt?

I plan to, that is why I want some that are lightweight and mobile.

kinda a kool trick i learned from Todd G. with your LW sticks if you are worried bout em getting stolen. on your way down take off the last two sticks and carry em out... if someone really wants em' nothing we could do i suppose but 8-10' can be a nice buffer=-)

I have never left mine. I do have some others that I would leave if I had some private land right now but I don't!
