The use of climbing sticks had become extremely popular, and I am about to fall victim as well. That's why I am coming to you guys for advice:tu:

I want to know what is the BEST out there. I have been known to pinch pennies before, but I think this is one area where I do not need to skimp.

    I only want 3 things:d
    1. Lightweight
    2. Strong as hell
    3. Easy to set up

    Give me some suggestions fellas..

Lone Wolf hands down. I'm not on the Lone Wolf band wagon by any stretch, in a lot of areas I feel that there is better equipment available. Climbing sticks is not one of them. I've not found one that was better in any of the categories you mentioned. A little pricey? Maybe. But well worth the extra cash in my honest opinion.

Dubbya I could not agree with you more. Lone Wolf sticks are the best ones out there. They are extremely light and pack well, they are real easy to set up, and still durable. They are pretty expensive, but I think they are worth every penny if you are going to be using them a lot.

Well count another vote for Lone Wolf. I have had mine now since the start of this season and can't be happier. They by far are the best stick for packing. They fit together great and no rattling or noise. Very easy to set up and after just 1 use you will figure out that the extra cost is worth every penny!

Depends....are you planning on using them for more permanent setups? If so, save yourself the dough..you can get some cheaper steel 20ft stick ladders and get like 3-4 sets for one set of LW sticks.

Same day mobile setups? I cant see anything beating the LWs...I plan on eventually getting me a set as well. Climbers are a thing of the past for me, I dont feel safe in them, I am noisy in them, I dont like climbing in them....I basically hate them. lol I hope to have a set of LW sticks and a LB Predator stand for the times I need a same day setup.

Trevor you read my mind. Yes I am wanting them for same day, mobile setup. I am not a fan of climbers either, mostly because we can't grow any strait trees around here. With the sticks you can get into any tree you want. I am also wanting a Muddy stand, which is basically the LB's twin.

P.S. I don't remember if you ever got back to me about those facemasks. Do you want some?

Lone Wolf. I don't own any but I borrowed a set from Kanga. I don't know if I'll ever give them back!

I will be picking up some Lone wolfs. I use hang on stands and would like one but the price is steep for my poor pockets. It's on my wish list but the sticks would be great when I do these quick hunts for the county and I need to pack in quietly.

Lone Wolf hands down. Their sticks are awesome and will climb any tree you will encounter.

Lone wolf sticks all the way. 2.5 lbs ea. The footpegs fold up and can fold down either left or right. You know how when you put up your stand and then realize it's awkward to get into the stand and wish you could set it up with the steps reversed? Easy, fold 'em the other way. Now instead of starting left foot right foot you can startright foot left foot. I'm not sure if that makes a lot of sense but when it happens you'll see.

Hey man, I can't disagree with all these Lone Wolf lovers, but I've been using climbing sticks since I started and every set I've bought have been used to hang a high, concealed, and safe stand location. Never paid more than $40 for a set either. I'm sure the Lone Wolf sticks are much nicer and probably slightly lighter and easier to maneuver up a tree, but don't feel too bad about pinching those pennies, it'll still be totally effective.

I don't know about the price of LW, but I bought a 20' set of sticks @ wally world for $40.00. They are light, strong as all get out, and easy to set up. I like the straps and the set off's. I've moved the stand w/the sticks 4 times and can tear down in 5 minutes and set back up in another 5.

I have some other sticks but I don't think that any stack and carry nearly as well.
