I am toying with the idea of purchasing one and was wondering what you guys would suggest? The 2 I am looking at are the Summit Viper SS and the Summit Razor SS. Does anyone have any experience with either? Also what is the safety harness that comes with them like? Thank You!

Great stands... but don't count on using the safety harness. Although they work they are a MAJOR pain to put on and use. Plan on getting an aftermarket one IMO. Muddy and Hunters Safety System make great harnesses.

    Good luck!

Thanks again. I am looking at getting a Seat O Pants harness. I just can't decide between the Razor SS or Viper SS.

I have an API GrandSlam Shooting Star and I absolutely love it. Feels like I'm sitting on my couch watching the Nature Channel when I'm in it.

I have a Summit bushmaster (open front) and love it...most of my hunting party has Summits...only this to consider with these is do you want the bar wrapping around in front on the seat/climbing aid, or do you want it open...I have heard some complaints of the bar getting in way on bow shots where deer is very close...just something to consider.

Thanks again guys. My wife wants to go to Cabelas next weekend so I am going to check them out.

To those that have the Viper and Goliath does the bar get in your way when shooting?

The best climber on the market IMO is the Lone Wolf hand climber. Too bad you have to take a second mortgage out on the house to buy one these days! Summit is number 2...
