Lone Wolf sit and climb or hand climber. Best climbers for bowhunting period….I used to hunt from a Summit Viper s or something and I prefer the LW.

    Make that two.

Had been a Summit guy for years then went to lone wolf sit and climb..... Nice stand but such a pain to climb with compared to the summit.....regret the decision big time.

I asked Santa to please bring me back my Summit!

Never hunted from a summit because when I bought my lone wolf 20 some years ago I never needed another stand no problems and no parts ever having to be replaced! Oh yeah extremely quiet also!

I've been very happy with my summits. Used LW stands a couple times. No complaints.

Agree, I turned it into a permanent stand. It's attached in a fixed position with screw in steps going up to it lol

For the life of me, I can't see how you could say a LW sit and climb is "a pain to climb with"? I don't think it could be any easier to climb with! I've used my LW for 10 years now, and have only had to replace the seat rail bushings once. I wish I got paid to promote LW stands, but I don't, and anything I say about them is me just being honest about a GREAT product. This stand is light weight, strong, secure, and SUPER QUIET. Honestly, I'll never hunt with any other stand. Did I mention how QUIET it is? :tu:

I have owned both Brands of climbers. The only area the LW beats the summit is in pack ability.
For me the Summits are easier to set up, climb and just as quite. They also are more comfortable.
That said the Lone Wolf is much easier to pack in.

You forgot about weight, the LW is 20lbs and the Summit is 25lbs. Big diff on long hikes!

Actually both the viper and sit and climb II both are listed at 20 pounds. I couldn't tell the difference weight wise, the LW packs flat though. The summit has a tendency to hit your tops of the rubber boots...not as streamline.

I retro fitted one of my vipers with molle straps, redid the padding and put a hazmore seat on it...coming in under 20 and packs easier.

You're right, it was the Summit Titan that was 25lbs. I've heard several times that the red hot hook-up is the LW platform and the Summit seat. Anyone have this combo?

My LW climber has slipped on trees too often for my liking ... I am only comfortable in it in certain trees and weather conditions...

I have a viper for all day hunts and a summit open shot for hunting half days. I love both of them. Next purchase will be a summit mini viper so it will be lighter to carry in and and be able to sit all day.

I can't remember what model it is, but I use a gorilla climber. Well known for comfort and strength. Im a little ashamed to admit, i have fallen asleep in it.

Really? I've hunted from a LW sitnclimb for well over 12 years......so long that I can't remember for sure. It absolutely is the safest climbing stand I've ever used. The cable type climbing stands scare me to death.
