I like them all for new properties i dont have to much time to scout i use my climbers. On my own farms/land its hang on stands for me and ladders for the gf. I usually set the stand about 7 to 8 yards or 2 or 3 trees into the fence row or woods to cover the stand up from being stuck out like a sore thumb.

I like climbers, and own 5. I put 4 of them out in semi-permanent places. I save one for "new" spots, or for when I hunt different properties.

Hang ons for the mornings for sure! no sound climbing in and out. climbers are nice for a new areas to locate the best trees and see if thats the right spot. Climbers are more comfortable but the noise climbing in and out sucks.

I've used all 3, but defiinitely prefer the climbers. I have a couple of Summit Goliaths and couldn't be more happy, easy to set-up quiet and very comfortable to be in all day.

Check This out! Totally blows every other stand of any kind away.

Check out this totally NEW revolutionary stand. Not only a Ladder Stand that is also a Game Cart and Cargo Rack in one, it also makes into a Tri-pod that was not produced at the time the video was made. Look up 'The Dream Cart" on You Tube. You will be amazed!

hang-on like 90% of the time and climbers the other 10%...will not touch the ladder style as they're the hardest to hide and disguise as well as they usually aren't as high as I like getting (20 feet minimum, 24 preferred).

Years ago I bought my first stand, a ladder stand. I had it on a water-way with the farmers blessing. One morning I went to the stand for shotgun season and it was gone? My guess is a neighbor (hunter or farmer) decided it was in the wrong area and removed it. Well I have taken it down and moved it a few times and now I feel it is time again. However, after that move, I decided to buy a few smaller hang on stands and tuck them into some more hidden spots. My luck has been much better. This year I inherited a climber and now I have used all three types. I will never buy a ladder again, unless a situation calls for one. I still like the hang-ons for those tough spots, but nothing beats a climber for comfort and easy of mobility, as long as you have a straight tree to climb it is the best!

I absolutely LOVE my climber... use it just about on every hunt. We also have a hang on and a ladder stand.. the ladder stand was just such a pain to set up. I prefer climber.

Today I have a ladder in a shed at the farm and one in the hedge row at the farm....have not sat in that since Oct. 2nd.
However, I have my climber, my bow and all my gear in my trunk ready to go at all times!

Whatever my bro puts up. Mostly hang-ons with a few ladder stands. I've hunted our one climber stand once. Probably never doing that again until I figure it out.

I have a dozen or so hang ons that I use in spots that I know I'll be hunting. I've hunted more from climbers this year than I ever have though.

How do you like the saddle? Was it hard to get used to?

I've only hunted hangers and I'll probably stick with em. I leave mine up on my property so it's easier that way

Hang on stands are by far my favorite. Ladder stands are kind of a pain to put up and stick out of the tree quite a bit. Climbers are nice too if you don't mind the extra time and effort it takes for you to get in position. I really hate lugging around a heavy climber and then climbing up or down in little to no light.

Muddy hang ons with muddy sticks. I'm up the tree in 10-15 min. I don't feel safe using a climber . I just bought a brand new ole man alumilite and as of tmrw afternoon it will be sold.
