climbers ?

    I used an old loggy and it was my favorite. A little on the heavy side but it was extremely quiet and comfortable. My neighbor loaned me a newer climber, not even sure the name of it but it has rails with teeth on it instead of the cable going around the tree and teeth on the platform. I hate it, but its 1000 x better than hunting from a ladder so i deal with it haha.

    Gorilla makes some really nice climbers you might want to look into.

    9 pounds. Viper is steel (29#) and the SD aluminum (20#).

    my friend has the viper. i really like it. however, i own a summit razor. at 15 years old, ive used it for three years and there is nothing like hunting out of a climber. there is nothing like it. goodluck, man.

    I thought the new Viper stands were all aluminum? I don't think mine is an SS or an SD and it is aluminum.

    Like most are saying for a climber get a summit viper. All the viper series stands are great except the Summit Viper Classic it is steel and weighs 29lbs or so. I messed and bought this one last year becasue i found it on Ebay brand new for 130 to my door. It didnt say how much it weighed so i assumed it was like my other Summit at 21lbs or so yea its not!!!

    got the viper sd first night out with it last night-- saw 2 doe at 20 but i was waiting for the big boy that never showed his face --the stand is super comfy and cant wait to let the air out of a big boy soon
