I am not saying that I do not like my Lonewolf stands they have their place. If I’m hunting a long time I will take the summit. However if I’m sitting 3 to 4 hours I always take my hand climber

Lone wolf alpha sit and climb. Had it for about 13 years now with no issue what so ever. Nice, light, quiet.

I use a summit viper and love it. Never used a Lone Wolf but would like to try one out someday.

I'm surprised to hear that someone out there likes them. I have a Viper Elite. At 16 pounds it's really light, but I hate that stand. No matter what tree I put it on it's noisy. I've tried everything I can think of and it always has a light "squeak" when I sit or stand. Not good.

It's collecting dust in my garage now.

Really?? Wow. I don’t own one but have used my hunting buddies about 5 times. I haven’t had the squeaking problem. Is it coming from the seat or the platform?

I have a Lone Wolf wide flop top climber. To me, best of both LW worlds. And man is it quiet!

    I can't be sure.

Have you ever used a Viper on a hickory tree? If you have then you're familiar with the squeak the teeth can make on the bark.

There is something about the teeth on this stand coupled with the round, thinner walled tubes that make it squeak lightly even on white oak and sweet gum trees.

I really wanted to love that stand, but I can't get rid of that sound it makes when I sit down or stand up.

I’ll have to pay attention if I use it again. I’m piecing my old summit python back together which is why I used his last season

Do you not have a climber that is useable right now?

I bought an Ol Man Alumilite CTS and I'm not thrilled about it. Super comfortable when it's in place, but it's a pain to climb in and loud. The plastic clips that secure the foldable rails are cheap and disconnect easily, and there are so many loose items clanking around it's almost impossible to climb quietly.

I will by the time I hunt. I bought a replacement seat and cables. It’s probably 10 yrs old but I love it. It’s an old summit all aluminum comparable to the open shot. Thing is super light. I was going to buy new but for $80 I’m going to make it like new again

Okay, just checking. My oldest Viper is 10 years old now and still a great stand.

I purchased a used LW last year from a guy I work with. Love it! Is the quietest climber I've ever used. Bother-in-law bought a summit viper last year to go hunting with me up state. Second use climbing a tree the bottom bent and twisted like a pretzel. Took it back to the store and they sent it back to summit. Got a new one delivered and it looks like they fill the frame on the new ones with foam.

I use a summit open shot. love the open design when bow hunting makes it easier to move around. I also have a summit viper which the seat is hands down way more comfy. only problem is I am 6'4 and have very wide shoulders (cause I'm so jacked) and the a bar that wraps around the top part of the stand makes me have to keep my arms in an uncomfortable position
