So you hike in your climber, bow, rattling horns, etc. and you are at your tree...now what? How do you get your butt, bow, and gear safely (and quietly) up the tree with you or after you climb the tree in the stand?

I typically hunt hang on stands with steps or ladders. With a lineman's belt I place my steps, hang the stand, drop a life line, drop a bow/gear line, and place a bow and gear hangers. When I get there to hunt I clip on my bow to the gear line, clip my harness to the lifeline ascend the tree and haul up my bow. Safe and sound in my stand I hang my bow ready to hunt.

Any suggestions from seasoned climber tree stand users? Thanks guys!

I do the same thing. I attach my climber to the tree, attach everything to the line attached to my tree stand while on the ground, climb the tree, raise my stuff on the line.

I have an old Lone Wolf fit n climb with the sling seat. My method is as follows:

-All my gear in my Badlands ultra day pack and w/bow strapped to the pack.
    -tree hook in pocket
    -attach climber to tree
-attach HSS tree rope to tree
-climb to desired height moving the tree strap along the way.
    - once to the top I screw in my tree hook and remove my pack and hang it up.
    -install bowhanger and hang bow
    -READY TO HUNT!

I have a small weird pack that I wear while climbing. It holds all my small doodads. The bow and quiver are on a haul rope at the base of the tree. If I brought my camera and arm, I bring them up the tree while I climb. Sometimes I put them on a separate haul rope but since it's usually really brushy and the two ropes get tangled up.... I'm usually better off just setting the bag with the camera arm on the top platform of the hand climber and holding it there while I climb. Holding the camera arm and the top of the hand climber.... and climbing takes talent. ....at least, that's what I keep telling myself. :)

The bow holder from third hand archery really works well. Also, the rope style tree strap from hss makes it easier to move up and down the tree while connected. I use a hip/fanny pack that stays on my waist in the stand of can clip on if I get tired of it.
The bow holder from third hand is definately a must have product. Eliminates the need for hoisting gear up
