I used my viper exclusively until I went on a hunt in Illinois, and realized I was really limiting myself of options. I was not able to find a straight tree to get close enough to the bigger buck core areas. as soon as I came home I ordered a LW assault with 4 LW sticks...GAME ON!!!!

I love my climber with a passion, nothing compares to the comfort. BUT I am there to hunt not to nap.

Straight trees here aren't really a problem, mostly pines and oaks. Is it a quicker/quieter setup with the sticks and hang on?

Lone wolf sit and climb. I use it about 75% of the time. Its great on the mountain property I hunt because the deer don't walk predictable path, so I need to keep changing locations

No, it's just that you don't need a straight tree with the hang-on and sticks. I believe over all, the climber is going to be quicker/quieter.

I hunt with my LW sit and climb exclusively.

I have about 40 acres of wooded property and I have 2x big ladder stands. It's like sitting in a lawn chair. Unreal comfortable and the chairs swing up to give you full access of the platform. I use one of the 2 at least 90% of my hunts because it's easy. Sneak in and climb up. No set up and no noise. I'll use my ATI Climber late season to get in close or when I hunt public land with friends.

I ONLY hunt out of my climber and maybe an occasional ladder stand. I am not the best with heights, but am able to get 20+ with my climber. I get about 15ft up with a lock on and feel very uneasy, so I stay away from them. I have a nice Muddy Stand/Stick Combo, but am too darn scared to use it.

I use my summit 100% of the time. Just don't want to invest the cash in lock ins

I've used my Viper a couple times this year. I got a lot of use out of a few ladder stands that were put up for my dad and brother. I also did a lot of ground hunting this year. Not sure how next year will go with the Viper because I just added a ground blind to the arsenal.

Whatever you guys decide to use, ALWAYS wear your harness!!!

I hunted most with my climber but I think for the 2014 season i'm going to have a few permanent sets. Its faster and easier. Also, our season starts in early September and just walking to your spot can get you soaking wet with sweat let alone trying to climb a tree. I think having a stand hung will help some of that.

Also, some one asked is it quieter and easier using a hang on and sticks. For me, that's a big NO. The only advantage to using a hang on and sticks is you can climb about any tree with it. If you have lots of straight trees with few or no big branches, in my opinion its a climber no question.

I hunt all of bow season out of my LW sit and climb. I like to be able to move around and it is light to carry. I am up my tree in minutes.

When travelling to different states to hunt I use my Ol' Man or Gorilla climber 90% of the time. Around home I still use them quite a bit, it's just really easy to get where you need to be quickly and silently.

I have a Summit Viper and I always enjoy hunting out of it. I didn't use it much this past season as I put up some ladder stands at my hunting spots.

I plan to use it more next season as I try to learn how deer move through one of my hunting spots.

Climber is quicker and quieter and you can hunt a different area daily.

They seem really nice and could be very useful, however where im at you would have better luck winning the lottery than finding a straight enough tree with out branches everywhere. however I do know people who use them and they swear by them.
