Just curious if a Climber is the best solution for same day setups on public ground? Not having much luck with the blind plus there is poison ivy everywhere on the ground i hunt. Looking at the summit viper ultra. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Yes a climber would be a good solution.

or a hang on with quick setup sticks. I have both and I like the hangon better .. gives me a better variety of trees to set up on

How does a hangon and sticks compare in price? Are they comfy for long sits? Also, how do they compare in setup time?

I have both and they are not comfy on long sits. If I'm sitting all day I take my Summit. If its a shorter hunt, I'm taking my Lone Wolf Alpha and sticks.

Personally its about the same for me. I started with a climber and then added the hang-on. The hang-on took some practice to get efficient with after getting it, but now they are about the same.

yeah for first time the climber will be quicker, but once you've hung a couple sets with the hang-on you get pretty efficient with it. And my climber is more comfortable for all day sits, but also easier to fall asleep in.

Just ordered the viper ultra on sale for 200. Any tips for a first timer?

Practice with it at home before taking it in the field, be careful and wear your safety harness.

Yeah i will be a stickler for a harness. Truth be told i'm scared to death of stands but i figure it's time to conquer that.
