I use a summit viper climber and was wonder what you guys do with your back pack when packing in a climber? How do carry it/wear it?

I just use the utility (green) strap. I set the backpack on the v-bar and run the utility strap around the whole stand and thru the hanger strap on my back-pack. Cinch it up tight, and you are good to go. (Bungees would also work. Just be sure the hooks are rubber coated for noise dampening.)

    Good Luck.

I use to use a fanny pack and wear it under the stand, but this year I purchased a bowbat from another member on the site and it's working out pretty well for me.

Yes. Vertical all the way around and cinch it up. Works pretty good if you can kinda get half and half of the bottom of the pack on each side of the strap and cinch it.

I use an Ol'man and a back pack. I just put the shoulder straps of the back pack over the top of the stand on both sides.

99% of the time I use a fannie pack, and it acts as a cushion between the stand and me. Works great and I don't have to worry about the backs of my legs hitting my stand when I walk. I used to use a backpack, but I ended up taking too much crap with me. There is still the rare occasion I do, and when I do...I just carry it in.

I've reduced everything I need to fit into a fanny pack as well and just spin it around to the front while I'm walking with a stand on my back.

I strap my backpack right around one of the platform beams on my summit so the pack rides along...

I bought a Badlands Monster fanny pack just for this reason. You can wear it normally, and just throw any stand on over the top of it. Works great.
