Anybody know anything about Clearwater Archery bows???

My buddy gave me a Dave Power's Signature Power Mag bow made by Clearwater Archery. . .I have been away from shooting for about 10 years now so I'm a little behind the times, but eager to get back into it. . .

Thanks for any opinions on this bow or on Clearwater Archery in general!!!

Clearwater merged with Storm Archery and became "Storm Clearwater Archery". That didn't last very long, and the Clearwater name was phased out, now they're only known as Storm Archery. They had a problem with the riser cracking and had to replace them. The ones that cracked had edges, they were replaced with risers that were all rounded. If there is a sharp 90 degree angle anywhere on the riser it is prone towards cracking.I have heard that the Power Mag was a pretty good bow though so you should be all good.

They were a small place outside of Lewiston Idaho toward Dworshak Reservoir if I remember right. I bought my first A/C/C arrows used off of Dave Powers about 15 years ago while shooting 3D's down there, nice guy. The techs at Alpine probably know him if they've been around a while. They can probably even give you some info. They were known as being a pretty decent bow back then.
