Cleaning off fletching residue

    I think it's near impossible to get the vanes off without messing up the wrap. They wouldn't stick very well either. Personally I use Loctite for fletching glue and have yet to have a vane come off. Vanes aren't all that expensive. I got 100 blazers on eBay for $15. The plain Onestringer wraps are also reasonably priced. When you do have to refletch, there is a lot less residue to remove.

    haven't tried heat shrink but have used 1.3 x 4 inch shipping labels for several years, cost pennies and work great.

    I'm simple, scrape softly w pocket knife than rub down w rubbing alcohol

    Like many of the rest. I scrape with a razor blade and then use acetone to clean the shaft.

    I might shoot 5 arrows a day, now-but it's over a 4-8 hr period of time. Every shot's a cold shot from now 'til next spring.
