This may be a rant, may be a valid complaint, or it may have an audience... Why are the Cincinnati bearcats in the tournament anyways? The NCAA did see the fight and the following press conference right? One would think they would hand down some sort of punishment.

Xavier were the ones that had the bad comments during the pressconference right? They are in the tournament too.

Cincy made the comments, but yes I believe Xavier should not be in it as well.

It's basically the NCAA condoning the actions of those players, and the resulting press conference.

No, Xavier (Tu Holloway) made the comments after the fight. Yancy Gates from Cincy was the one who threw the sucker punch.

Several players from both teams shouldn't have been allowed to play for the rest of the season, but I don't think they should be banned from the tourney. It punishes the players who did nothing but try to break up the thugs.

Ah, I thought it was Gates that was "zipping them up".
The fight was a bench clearing though, it wasn't just 2 guys going at it. Had the others stepped in and pulled each other off (not saying that they were all fighting, but a few on each team were) then I might agree more with only suspending the limited players.
I just think the NCAA had a great opportunity to set the example and standards and they basically looked the other way. One of the biggest complaints I hear about NBA is the players and here was a perfect opportunity to nip this.

I thought several kids were suspended during regular season? Kids get in fights and thats exactly who they are, kids. Young, immature adults. Kicking them out of the tournament for that? I don't think that would be fair. This is last time some of them will play ball and the tournament is why they don't have a life from october until now.
