    That looks more like a red fox that either has distemper or rabies to me.

    the real foxes that arent all nasty are some pretty ones.... the other foxes look to be healthy too.

    i am just down the road in Fredericksburg VA and I have been seeing healthy fox and the rat tail version. Don't know what gives them the problem but it is strange looking

    mange. It's pretty nasty looking, but not fatal in unto itself. Usually a by product of compromised immune system.
