    Just got back from 9 days in the Dominican. I'll take the white sand and sunshine over snow and below zero temps any time! The only thing I missed there was good beer. So, rum had to do.

    Nice! What resort? I went to the Grand Palazzo in 2006, it was a fantastic trip.

    We stayed at the Melia Tropical in Punta Cana. It was very nice but a little too big for our liking. We checked out a smaller, more exclusive place next door that we may try next time. It looked like it might be worth the extra money. That being said, the rooms, food, drinks, and property were all very good. Just quite a few people. The beach there is one of the best I have been on. Amazing.
