I really only wanted a pair of Vortex Vipers or Diamondbacks, but I'm holding off for now.

I just bought myself a Canon 70-200mm/F4 L lens which I'm really excited for. What else the wife gets me, it's anyone's guess:D

I'm pretty well stocked on hunting items for now, though.

I always splurge on hunting items around this time of year as the holiday sales emerge and guys look to offload their gear as the season winds down for some quick cash.

I've gotten two Covert MPE5 cams, about 5-6 more garments from Kuiu on their 25% off sale, Kuiu bino harness, C4E Torrent rain jacket and pants, and a set of Vortex Viper HD 10x42 (Matt, these are flipping awesome binos for the price).

Still on the list by next fall is a NeoAir XTherm sleeping pad, and possibly a new set of boots to replace my Kenetreks that just passed the 300 mile mark... (will likely wait one more year for the boots due to money).

I did find out that my father is/has bought me a Glock 20 10mm for my birthday/Christmas this year. I went ahead and bought 4 boxes of ammo on Midway USA with their $20 off coupon today. Now I should be grizzly proof on all future bow hunts.

Im looking at getting a new bow and sight. I highly doubt my parents will put out the money for that completely so Im just hoping to get some more to go towards those items.

I don't think I could decided between the 10x or 8x if I got a set, Trevor. That's my biggest decision that has me still putting it off, haha :D

I had the same issue when I was looking around. I went with the 10x and I'm glad I did they work great and the little extra magnification doesn't hurt, its probably helped me more than anything. Im using the Vortex Crossfire 10x42

I went back and forth a lot too. I opted for 10x just because ill be using them more in open areas than in the woods. Plus I still have a set of Vortex Vulture 8x56 for the whitetail stand if i find myself heading into the woods. I've been meaning to sell these but they gather so much light I swear they seem brighter than the naked eye at times and its been a hard separation haha.

Peace on earth. Then maybe a couple new trail cameras to capture it... or a nice big buck or two. Like the looks of the new Moultrie M-880.

Looking at a new bow for my Christmas fun, dad is offering to pitch in for a bow package and get me some quality with everything to go with it.

So far my daughter has gotten me a new ground blind, my wife got me a new henry 22, and I'm hoping for some surprise gifts. I upgraded my arrows, and rest, was hoping to upgrade my son's and daughter's bows this Christmas, but don't think I will be able to. My daughter just got into it this year and bought a little Hoyt ruckus...later we went to the pro shop and she started playing with a Mathews Jewel..she loved it. But the wife spent a bunch of money on her already (new camera, and computer) and I don't think its going to be in the budget for that kind of upgrade. My son shoots a 2006 Hoyt, but has fell in love with my sniper...and is thinking about upgrading to something a little lighter, faster, and more modern. Again I wish I could, but cant justify the money right now. (we spent a bunch on our granddaughter, and like most dads he is more thrilled when his little girl gets the gifts).
My wish list right now is only some good warm camo gear, and boots.

Vortex Razors would top the list of "wants".

    Merry Christmas Brothers! Be safe!

I want you all to have a fantastic Christmas. Especially you guys with little ones. My youngest is leaving for Ohio State in January and its about to rip my guts out. Don't know what I'm going to do without my little girl. It was bad enough when my son left for college. There's just something about a daddy's little girl. Especially when she loves to bow hunt with me!

What kind of sleeping pad do you have now Trevor? I borrowed my buddy's X-Static Big Agnes Q-Core when I went to Ontario last month and loved it. 3.5" thick, 20"x78" and 1.2#. I was thinking about getting the same one, but really like the looks of the NeoAir XTherm as well.

I have the original NeoAir pad currently. Great for summer camping and will still use it but I want to bump the R value up some for winter trips. The only slight on NeoAir is the noise if you move while sleeping. It doesn't bother me so I get it as the lightest weight/warmth ratio pad out there... But if noise bugs you, I'd look elsewhere. Heard those q core pads are amazing too

Last stop is a good zero degree bag. Ill either have to sell a kidney or wait another year for this purchase as well. Maybe this spring I can find someone offloading a used one for a good price.

I will also be in the market for a good zero degree bag before next fall's trip as well. They are crazy expensive, but it will be worth it. Have you done any research on bags yet? Got anything in mind?
