Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy an electric log splitter for home use and could use some guidance. I mainly split hardwood like oak and maple and I'm hoping to find a model that’s reliable, efficient, and not too bulky. I’ve seen a range of options from 5 ton to 10 ton models. How much power do I need? Are horizontal or vertical splitters better for occasional use? I'd also love to hear about any trusted brands or models you've had success with. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Why electric? Go with the 10 ton model you will never regret having the extra power. Vertical avoid lifting that log, again.
