I am getting back into bow hunting and with the advancements that have been made since I bought Mathews first bow I am having a hard time choosing between their latest bows the Creed xs and the Chill r. My draw length is 28.5. I plan on hunting only. I mostly will be in the tree stand. I need help on choosing which one. I have shot both and love them both. Please help. Thanks everyone.

Keep shooting them until one screams at you. Also do yourself a favor and try every bow you can get your hands on.

Thats kinda hard to compare the 2 which did you shoot better and do you like solocam or duel cam bows what are you looking for in a hunting bow ? I shoot the creed xs and love it i think its the best bow ive ever shot its so smooth with a solid backwall and light weight and compact and its so easy to tune right out of the box its a great bow if your in a stand or a ground blind im not really a fan of duel cam bows more tuning is needed then single cam and also strings are so much more expensive for a duel cam but its personal preference i would get what you like better and what you shoot better thats my opinion but both are great bows.

I like the ATA of the Creed XS for whitetail tree stand hunting as well as hunting from a ground blind. Just my 2 cents. I also think the xs is smoother than the chill r. Shoot them again…..blind shoot them both into a bale at close range…become the bow and it will be one with you….HA

If there is an Elite dealer near you, I highly suggest shooting the Energy 32 and 35. Two absolutely amazing bows. Had an opportunity to shoot both this weekend, and was blown away. I plan on doing a short review on the forums as soon as I get a chance. I liked them better than the Creed that I also shot, but this is just my opinion.

It's all about the right bow for you. When buying a bow shoot as my different types of bows as possible. They all feel and shoot different. Find the one you are most comfortable with. Disregard brands names, all new bows are great bows. I personally shoot the Mathews Heli-M. It fits me and I love it. Before I bought it, I shot all major bow brands and this is the one that felt the best for me. I have not had a chance to shoot the new Elite line up. Looking forward to, I have heard great things.

I love both. Shot both many times before I went with the Chil R. Main reason I went with it is because everyone in my area was getting the XS and I wanted to be different. No regrets.

The Chill R is the better bow of the two in my eyes! Congrats!

I did shoot the Elite 32 it was amazing. Now its either the Mathews or the Elite. I am kind of stuck with the name brand of Mathews. I am trying to get over that. I see your in PA have you tried the mamba5 from the APA? Iam in CT. PA is the cloest dealer that sells it. Thanks for your advise!

Out of those 2 bows I liked the Chill better. It felt smoother to draw and shoot IMO. The only thing I don't like about the chill is the AVS cam system, it can be a pain to tune. And if you ever have to replace strings and cables for it, it will cost ya some coin because its a 5 piece set. Like everyone else said on here, don't be brand loyal. Go shoot as many different bows as you can. The right bow will pick you. This is what I did this year and when I shot the Hoyt Carbon Spyder 34 I just smiled and said "this is the one"!
