Anybody make a bow from chokecherry? Got a bunch growing where I'm at. Wondering how it would turn out.

Huh, not much response yet, most are compound shooters ...
According to a Wiki I found (not in English), chokeberry is a good choice for a bow.
    - dry 4 to 6 month
    - use middle-sized growth rings (4 .. 8mm)
    - use splint and heart wood (like the yew ELB)
    - preferably rectangular profile, don't round the belly
    - tends to compression fractures

I rarely try building bows myself, just don't have the time.
But there are many fora dedicated to bow making and primitive archery, those people should be able to tell from experience.
