The only thing Hardees is good for down here is breakfast.

Taco Tierra is pretty local to that area. Used to eat it every now and then when I lived in Mt. Carmel. Nothing like a drive thru that has a girl coming to your car window to take your order and then takes it back up to the window for you. By the time you get to the window it is usually ready.

Noway I could list a top 5 - I would eat it all...although it's usually subway for lunch now that I'm an old Dad.

First thing I think of when I hear "fast food" = McD's...that crap tastes good anytime/anyplace

Best burger = Hardee's Frisco thickburger

I consider this to be a small town and we have:
    3 Hardees
    2 McDonalds
    2 Burger Kings
    2 Dairy Queens
    Wendy's
    Taco Bell
    Arby's
    Long John's
    (had 3 Sonics - closed)
    Culvers being built

    and 60% adult Obesity!
(not to mention double digit pizza & mexican joints, Jimmy Johns,Qdoba, etc)

I must also add - Taco Bell was involved in many of funnest times growing up...still get the urge every so often:)

Had Chipolte once in Kansas City...it was fantastic!

seriously, get ready, culvers rocks!!!! a pleasant place to eat, carpeted floors so its fairly quiet, they bring the food out to you, and the food quality is among the best of the drive-thru fast food joints... and their custard absolutely pwns!!!! most everything on their menu is fantastic, the shaved prime rib sammich is really good btw the way, but the pork tenderloin sammich is da bomb... and their burger I'd put up against even the best burgers out there... when it comes to bang for the buck fast food, culvers can't be touched.

That sucks......Hardees makes a solid burger........fresh for every order and you can get some sick slabs of beef off that menu. Well, I think it's beef ;)

It's not............the entire build out cost to open the doors is about $160,000-$185,000 depending on the footprint of your store but you only have to come up with about $50,000 cash. Those figures I gave you for 5 guys was money you needed in your hand, not were willing to borrow. Plus 5 guys takes like 11% of your gross earnings for life in NY. F-That! Subway takes 8% (bad enough). Subway only turns you down if your location is terrible. They have multiple locations just waiting for people to buy up that they have done all the research on already. The biggest problem with Subway is there is not a no compete clause with them and they will put one on every corner if they can. 5 Subways bringing in $3,000/week is way better for Subway then one store bringing in $12,000 a week.............sucks for the owners but saturation is what they want.

They can't be too picky.........they OK'd me LOL

I like Culver's. But, not enough to put it in the top 5. But, they do make a good Mushroom 'n Swiss burger. My problem with them is the high grease and butter content as it doesn't sit well in me for too long.

I honestly don't miss Hardee's. Both my wife and I worked for different ones back in high school and I was never impressed unless it was a Mushroom 'n Swiss or hot ham 'n cheese (must be a cheese theme going on here!).

Interesting on the cost. My friend opened his up in NorCal so might have something to do with it and he may have also stated total cost to open the doors. He did say though that it was a very tedious process as they wanted to ensure he had things correct.

Eh, what do I know. I'm not a business person by any means.

Chinese food is good but too heavy and makes one hungry again in a couple of hours. Must be all the MSG.

Something I've been enjoying on occasion is to get a chicken gyro.
