Oh, the ole Billy Goat. Went there once just to say I had been there when I lived in Chicago. Maybe the worst cheeseburger I had ever had.
I could not give you a top 20, they all have a place...but I do want to get on board with the Taco Bell groupies. The wife and I got get very fat there once every couple months. 3 years ago she became pregnant with out little girl, and Taco Bell was her craving. I gained 27 damn pounds over 9 months, she was eating it 5 times a week, and I blamed her for me eating it too. This time she has not craved anything so to speak, I took her by there a few times trying to get a spark...but I digress, nothing
Favorite: 1. Arbys 2. Subway 3. Tastee Freeze 4. Wendys 5. Taco Bell Worst: 1. Long John Silvers, ate there once when I was little, NEVER been back, we stopped at one on an atv trail one time, I couldn't do it. 2. KFC 3. Burger King, ours here was disgusting, others I've ate at were fine... go figure And one I have to ask you guys about, is Popeye's , never ate at one, never even seen one, and I travel every now and then. Are they any good? I love anything cajun.
Any Taco tierras out there besides here? It reall puts Taco bell to shame,,excellent sancho's. I think I get subway more than anything these days, they have some good healthy samiches
I've never heard of most of these places either. Hmm.. I'm not a fast food kind of person but if I had to pick 3.. 1) Brown's Chicken (for the fried livers... food of the gods!) 2) KFC (just the right balance of grease/breading and chicken) 3) Hardees I used to live next to some awesome taquerias so it's hard for me to get excited about the chain mexican restaurants. Heck, even the roach coaches up there had better mexican food. Taco Hell was a favorite of many a family member. DEA agents should really just stake out the local Taco Hell and run the plates of the drive thru patrons after 12am. Would be like the short list of who to raid.
I just had Five Guys the other day....awesome place to eat. Another good burger is the "Royal Red" at Red Robin. Who wouldn't like a burger with bacon and egg on it???? We're getting a Chipolte soon. I can't wait. Here are some places I frequent that are close by. Five guys would be on the top but its an hour away. 1. Firehouse subs 2. Wendys 3. Quiznos 4. Chic-fil-A 5. Taco bell The Royal Red at Red Robin.
Can't believe Christine is the first one to list Hardees. What's wrong with you midwest boys?? Culvers is another solid call for that area.........ice cream is life changing (Whitey's too for you Iowa boys). Taco Bell is considered low grade dog food around here. Never been to Chipotles but heard good things (similar to Moe's??) Funny side bar.............my wife and inquired about opening a five guys burgers in NY. They wanted $500,000 up front and an additional commitment of about another $200,000 before they made you "borrow" from them...........PLUS the "ability" to purchase 5 or more locations if they "needed you to". Needless to say you will never be greeted with "Welcome to atlas's five guys, how can I help you?" Damn...........you can open a Subway for $50,000.
Yessir, get the spicy chicken strips and ask them for the spicy honey mustard! you wont be let down...Gotta find a good one thou 1.Arbys 2.Tacobell 3.BK 4.Popeyes 5.Subway
All the Hardee's in my area have closed down. So, it'd be like me saying "Burger Chef" is a favorite. Haven't existed for years... I believe it's more than that. Also, Subway is VERY particular on whom they allow to open a store. Not in terms of race, sex, etc. But, they want a very solid business plan, good area, etc. so that you will have a good chance of success. Friend of mine spent two years working with Subway to get it opened as they shot down the first couple of places he was looking at.
