Scott, there is a Quaker Steak and Lube in Indianapolis, IN and we didn't visit. BOOOOOO!!!! How disappointing. And to think, we settled for Hooters. BUT, there is a Quaker Steak and Lube within an hour and half of me. Should I even hesitate?
Oh hell yeah... I keep a bottle of Lousiana Lickers and Arizona Ranch in the fridge at all times...I like to grill chicken breast and then smoother them in wing suase...Yummy!!!!
Do not hesitate.... Go on Tuesday all you can eat night.... If they don't have any flavors out you want to try tell your server and they will bring you what you want
I have dabbed my finger in the sauce and tried it that way. Even that little bit was very intense. You have to sign a waver to eat their atomic wings. Buckeye BBQ is as far up the ladder I have went with actually eating the wings.
Heck, I might even have to save the experience until you make it back into town. Just wouldn't be the same, the way you have talked the place up.
I've sure as hell never tried them but I have a Doctor friend that I saw eat them one night. He'd had 5 of the 6 done and he was snotting, eyes watering, etc. and I said "doc, isn't eating them bad for you" and his reply was "no, they just hurt when they come out in the morning"...:d
I think I could use some Atomic wings right now, to rid me of this NASTY cold. Ask your doctor if he recommends them for colds. :D
All you need to do is find your nearest Quaker Steak and Lube my friend... They'll fix you right up...
How the hell did I miss this post? I LOVE WINGS. I soo wish that there was a Quaker Steak closer than 40 minutes away. That said there are some truly great places near here as well. Nearly every Thursday it's mild garlic and southwestern dry rub from Womer's. The best wings in the area IMO are at a private member style club that runs like 25 bucks a year for membership. The have 900 acres and a lake for members to enjoy, but being that it's 5 minutes from my cabin, the boys and I end up over there a bit via the quads and or pickups. There it's mild butter garlic, honey mustard, and old bay. The other places that ROb listed are great too.
