Can you guys suggest a local credit union or bank? Starting the process of getting things setup out there, would like to find a credit union or bank with good service, low/no fees, and flexible lending should I need a loan of some sort down the road. Any suggestions?
My wife's a native and likes TCF. They're everywhere (in all the Jewels grocery stores) and open 7 days/week. If you carry a large enough balance (not sure what that cut off is) they will do a lot of things for free - wire transfers, certified checks, etc. Not done a loan through them though.
