I can't watch dramas on Network TV anymore. They're just not gritty enough. After some of the stuff that's on cable these days, I find myself being bored.

Comedies are about all I can watch on network.

Doesn't compare to Rescue Me that was on FX.

Love it! Best cop show was Third Watch! Was on for a couple seasons. I hate when I get into a show & it gets canceled. Chicago Fire was picked up for 5 more shows :-)

I watched half of the first episode but couldn't seem to get into it, maybe I'll givr it another shot if I have time. Can't even find the time to watch Walking Dead and SOA on demand, a third show may be tough, but if you say so haha.

Not impressed, a extremely weak attempt to get to the all the Rescue Me fans. IMO will only last a season or two.

It cant hold a handle a candle to Rescue Me and what Dennis Leary was as Tommy Gavin. That was the best television show ive ever seen...gritty, extremely dirty, funny, dramatic...ect. Also, was a VERY postive voice for the 343 and the fire service. The Rescue Me crew still goes to fire conventions, and Dennis Leary has his own firefighter foundation.

Obviously, im going to be able to nit pick away at Chicago Fire. There are alot of things about the show that are unrealistic. Kind of a mixture of that show "Trauma" (terrible) and "Ladder 49" (Pretty good).

fyi...did you know Dennis Leary drove an FDNY truck on 9/11 tot he towers because they were short staffed?

I gotta check out this "Rescue Me" show y'all are talkin about... how raunchy is it? If it's bad or borderline, I won't bring it into my house....

I don't know how you define "raunchy", but it involves lots of unmarital sex, people of questionable morals and values, and violence.

Which is why it was awesome, IMO

Very easy show to relate to,

But i dont think its for you Tony. Pretty "raunchy". Alot of religious stuff in it to. Gavin's cousin is a preacher who converts.
