Checking trail cameras

    For my food plot cam which I can drive jeep or tractor to I'll check 7-10 days but that's a spot that gets regular Ag traffic and mowing, etc so they are used to some activity. My other spots are monthly and only while it's raining or when I know it's going to rain within 12 hours. That's early in summer June through September. I really try to stay out during season. Otherwise, I'll only check my cams when I am walking to a stand to hunt it.

    Well checked one of my cams Monday which is an hour away from my house. Busy summer kept me from getting down there sooner. It had been 9 weeks since I last checked it. Monday I had 14300 pics. That's not a typo. Now it's going to take me a week to get through them all.

    Moral of the story...I think you can let them soak TOO long.
