I checked my Reconyx RC60 and Covert Black 60 today for the first time this year. My anticipation was at an all time high as I had some great young 2 year old bucks on my property last year that I am hoping to see this year. I checked the Covert first and while it performed great, the bucks didn't! I had one small 5 point and a small 8 point to go along with a doe and her fawns, as well as more raccoons than I cared to count. I had over 1,700 photos (cam was set at one pic every 5 seconds) without any shooter bucks. I then went and checked the Reconyx which I had set at one picture every 30 seconds and I had nearly 900 photos. It started with some doe, then two good looking 1 year olds, and finally, nearly 600 photos in I got pictures of a shooter and a deer that I have thousands of photos of since he was 1. Last year he was a decent 2 year old 8 point that had an attitude and would push every deer off. I have pictures of FieldGoal, a big 4 year old 8 point, being ran off by him numerous times....hence his name "Bully". I picked up one of his sheds this spring so I knew that he had made it through rifle season and was hoping to catch up with him....I'm glad I did, Here he is last year[IMG]and here is what he looks like now [IMG]

Thanks guys, I am happy to see that he is still around. He still has some growth left in him and it should be interesting to see how he interacts with other bucks this year. [IMG] Tim, I fear that Fieldgoal is dead. He disappeared late August last year and I spent countless hours scouting, moving trail cams, and spotting fields at night trying to get a glimpse of him with no luck. He was pretty consistent with his range and he just disappeared. We had EHD hit this area last year, so that scares me. He is one of two bucks that I had my eye on last year that I am really hoping to see this season, the other is McDagger. McDagger was a main frame 2 year old with 3 kickers last year and had the potential to blow into a stud this year. I almost hope to see him more than Fieldgoal because he has the chance to turn into a true giant. Here are a few pics of him from last year... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Great buck man! I love it when people have history with a buck and are able to seal the deal on it, hope the same happens to you. Bummer about that second buck though, EHD hit us pretty bad too.
