Went to check the Reconyx RC60 and the Covert Black60 today, only got to check the Covert as we jumped three black bear cubs that ran up a tree about 5 yards from my Reconyx. In one week the Covert took 5,260 photos. So far I am happy with the Covert, it does have its flaws (takes more blank pics, more blurred pics, and more white-out photos between daylight and dark) when compared to the Reconyx, but it has better image quality and for the price, it is tough to beat. I would say that if you have the extra money to spend, go with the Reconyx, but if you can't afford half a grand for a camera, there is no other choice... go Covert. Okay now with that out of the way, I got Bully on cam again, and he is looking great... [IMG] Now, he brought a buddy with him, he is a main frame 5X4 with a big sticker by his brow and a kicker off his G-2 making him an 11 point. [IMG] Now, I showed my buddy this pic and he thinks this is McDagger, who was a promising 2.5 year old last year that was a main frame 5X5 with two small kickers and a long kicker by his browtine making him a 13 point..... I am unsure, what do you guys think? Here is McDagger last year [IMG] and another of the buck in question..... [IMG] And finally.... a main frame 5X5 showed up, I noticed the mass and the browtines instantly. After looking at the pics, the few people I showed said that it is FieldGoal. I just don't see it. We compared browtines and they look almost identical, but if it is FieldGoal, he lost spread, main beam length, and height but gained G-4's. What do you guys think? Here is FieldGoal last year.... [IMG] and here is the buck in question... like I said, brow's are close but he would have shrunk his overall frame by a good bit.... [IMG] and finally..... there is this.... [IMG]

I think there's a good chance the one buck could be mcdagger, as far as FieldGoal.... I'm going with a big fat NO! Just a young clean 10. Either way all are nice deer and the bear pic is freakin awesome!

Real nice bucks and they don't even look maxed out yet, you are going to have some awesome bucks next year if they don't get tagged this year. Nice bear picture too, cute little cubs.

Nice pics. Looks like Field Goal to me. Those bears are awesome. That cub closet to the camera is shoveling the corn in!

Man some slammers there.. maybe field goals brother or sire??? Certainly doesn't look as wide as last year but doesn't really mean it isn't him

Thanks guys, I'm still unsure on the deer. McDagger and the new buck look alike but the sticker off the brow would have changed sides, and as far as FieldGoal goes, evetything looks identical but just a major drop in overall frame size. I hope it is him, but I really thought he was dead as he dropped off the radar entirely last August. I will just keep an eye on these bucks and see how they fill out

Great bucks! I think Yes to fieldgoal but I'm not sure on McDagger. Hopefully you'll get some more pics and we can get a definitive answer.

I cant zoom in clearly enough to be certain but i there looks to be a small flaw in Fieldgoals right ear in the picture from last year, i dont see one in the picture from this year, but again cant zoom in enough clearly.

Either way, nice deer... Bear pic are good too.

Wow what monsters you got there.

In the reconyx picture you have something hanging from the tree over the bait. What is it dripping during summer?
