Killed my first ever whitetail deer hunting from the ground! No ground blind, just brushed myself in a sapling thicket and stayed still and quiet. One of my most memorable bow hunts for sure, what a cool experience to be eye level with deer and have them not even know you're there. It was October 21st, in the evening, on land I hadn't hunted before. She came in right before dark and I didn't even see her until she was 50 yards away. She came in and stood about 25 yards completely broadside and I let the arrow fly! Here is a video of the hunt, not the greatest view of the shot, but it does tell the story of the hunt well! So pumped! Good luck to all of you hunting in Wisconsin and beyond, things are picking up now!
