My local RK has these: Marked down to $29. They only weigh like 13 lbs and come pre-assembled along with 2 ratchet straps. They also had their 20' stick ladders marked down to $40.
Thanks for sharing! I've got about 10 of those to use on public land around here... that way I don't feel so violated if one of those get stolen, LOL.
Looks like the closest store to me is about 100 miles away. May consider making the trip down though. They have them listed on the website for $39 though.
Go to Ruralking.com, it's just a huge farm store! But they usually have stands on their website as well and are decently priced. Found some online last year towards the end of the season that were marked down CHEAPER than the ones in the store... with shipping it ended up being almost equal to the in-store sale price. You beat me to it!
LOL I don't hunt public but the property is in a really nice "big-buck" area and its VERY easily accesible to trespassers. I kick a few off every year. These are also to keep cost down in case they get stolen! But I like to sit them also. They're plenty roomy and a breeze to hang. I can get ALOT of sets out using theses and the stick ladders and I can have them up in NO time at all.
I'm still surprised you don't have a RK though, LOL. They are kinda like Wal-mart here. There's one in every town!
englum- Any public land down by you that I can get out on and hunt? Maybe make a trip down for a day or two to pick up a few and get some hunting in. How far are you from Effingham?
I bought three of those two years ago. I believe they were $25 after season was over. Not a bad treestand at all for the price. You just have to love Rural King.
Absolutely! Charleston, IL has a State Park (Fox Ridge SP http://dnr.state.il.us/LANDS/LANDMGT/PARKS/R3/FOX/Fox.htm ) that has 1,100 acres open for public hunting. The Rural King in Charleston also has the stand marked down to $29 and 20' Stick ladders for $39. They had a TON of them last night. Charleston is less than 40 miles from Effingham. Pretty much stay on 70E except once you get to Greenup you head North and stay there for maybe 12-15 miles. Fox Ridge is actually between Greenup and Charleston. If you want to see some of the deer killed in the Charleston area, check out this link, alot of them are actually killed in the park every year: http://www.stewartsarchery.net/index.php?a=galleries
