I watched this guy and another basket rack step out in a field at about 100 yards. They started going the opposite direction and then came right to me. I decided early they weren't shooters, so i grabbed my phone. Strange rack for sure.

I will say that the velvet rack was tempting.:D

If he makes it 2 years he will be holding one of my .440 ACC Prohunters.;)

He did smell me right after the picture and was gone. He didn't wait around to see what the smell was. Going to be a smart one but we have over 40 deer killed off this farm each year. Hope he makes it.;)

If you kill over 40 deer a year on that farm it must be quite a large farm! That will be a good buck in a couple years!

We hunt about 600 acres but we ajoin a very large tract of woods. I think the final number last year was 47,our "deer lease" was 50. That was how many the land owner wanted killed. We have taken over 40 the last 3 years and we were in the mid 30's for several years before that.

Obviously, I'm one of the few that let any walk.

Hopefully this guy goes and hides in the neighboring woods for a couple years and then presents me this same shot 2 years from now.
