I'll keep this fairly short. I purchased a "new" 08 Constitution. It came with 29" mods (I shot 28.5" on my 101st). Since I'm still waiting on getting mods, I decided to set it up quick just to play with, so I threw my LD on, tied in some nocksets and my loop. I drew back, and surprisingly, it felt a bit more comfortable to me than 28.5." Hard to explain, but at the same time, it also felt a little odd (maybe just some adjusting)?

I've never had my DL set by someone who knows what they're doing. The only reason I switched to 28.5" was a comment Rob made when watching me draw (I think he said somewhere around 28.5" or 29"). I've never done the wingspan measurement either, so I guess I'm asking for any observations you seasoned shooters might have looking at this photo (if you can). Thanks.

I think 28.5" would probably be a better fit. Not only are you leaning some (which doesn't neccessarily mean you are long on DL) but you look really "extended". I'd get your 28.5 modules and take some more pictures.

EDIT: You're front shoulder is creeping up out of socket too. Remember, bone to bone!

It looks pretty close but I'd have to see from behind (elbow position in relation to the arrow while looking down the arrow shaft) to be certain.

I think it feels better because of string angle on a longer ATA bow but you are a tad long. Let's see what the 28.5 does for ya.

Good point (about the string angle).

Didn't want to make it sound like I didn't trust your comment, I just meant I've never head someone look while I'm drawing and make adjustments accordingly.

Matt, and Rob (the other Rob;)), I will get pictures of the 28.5" when I get them.

You are a bit locked up, Bow arm is a little straight and the front shoulder is creeping too! I would think 28.5 would do yah better.

As the one Rob said, would need a pic from behind to see elbow position compared to the arrow. I'd like to see the elbow start just outside of right down the pipe so that your shot is breaking by time you pull through and have everything in line.

I personally think you are very close to where I would set you up for pure indoor setup, however with you laid out a bit like that it might be tough to keep behind it for 3d or hunting with odd angles and/or up and down hill. Depending on how close you are, and your desired holding weight, I might reduce dl by taking some twists out of your cables instead of changing the mod.
