I am not new to deer hunting, but I am still a rookie when it comes to bowhunting, scouting and using cameras. I have a theory that by jumping deer in the day whether by checking cameras, hunting or scouting the grounds on foot the deer go nocturnal due to the increase in human activity in their area during daylight. I think we all agree with this. My theory is that if jumping deer during the day makes them more active at night. By checking cameras after dark deer activity would increase during the day. My other thought is that deer would notice human activity and go nocturnal due to the increase in pressure not based on time of the encounter. Lets get some feedback, cause if I can check cameras at night to increase my chances at a buck during daylight, I'll buy another flashlight.

Sounds good on paper. I will take my chances during the day when the deer are bedded rather than at night when they are more than likely on their feet.

I check mine at mid day to. I seem to think that if you spook deer at night a lot. They will move away from the area because night time is when they feel the most secure from humans. Mid day most deer are sleeping, but night time might be an idea if your close to a bedding area, the deer would probably be away and never know you were there. Just pay close attention to entry and exit routes and practice sent control.
