Generally cheaper bows are cheaper due to the manufacturing process and the technology on the bow has been around a while longer.
The type of cable guard is a prime example of this.
    New technology cost money .
The Chevy Camaro got most of it's parts from the Corvette .
They'll do the job just fine.

It all depends on ones financial situation if an item is "cheap" or not. My first crossbow, purchased the end of September of 16 cost me $100 delivered to the door and had 8 aluminum bolts with it. Put the scope off my .22 on it and started practicing. Shot 6" group at 30 & 40 yds. decided I liked crossbow hunting so picked up a new Jackal. Shot it today and first 3 shot were within 2" but low. Adjustment and shot 2 more. Still a little low. Adjusted and shot two more and put them right where I aimed about 2" apart. Shooting with a rest of course. To me the Jackal is a great bow and a major purchase being on retirement income. To others that have the high 5 figure or above income the Jackal would not be considered. Now have to get a difference target as 3/4 plywood and 3/4" weight room mat wont stop those arrows.

    Here's my take...

Bear - "Black Bear", not high end but even from dual prongs I could hit a milkcap at 20 yards! My Dad hated bowhunting -- Never killed a big game animal (many squirrels ,birds, and a couple rabbits).

Jennings - "Unistar" - new tech(was a strange brew but fantastic draw "no wall though") bow, 63lbs draw, xx75 arrows Satellite broadheads - several bear and deer.

    PSE - Brute Force - 63 lbs, Easton ACC's, Muzzy 125's - many bear, a couple deer, 1 elk

Mathews - MQL 32 - 68lbs, Carbon Express arrows, Muzzy 125's, bear, deer, elk

My last purchase? An infinite edge to match my wife's, as it's an amazing little piece of machinery... Score? no field kills (since Christmas)

CHEAP is a relative term. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE; followed by game encounters and controlling your impulses. This from an OLE DUDE. My first post here!
