I really would love a pair of Oakley polarized sunglasses but there is noway that I'm buying a pair for $150 plus. Anybody know a sight or place that I can get a pair for a cheaper price?

    Like fakes?

Check SteapandCheap.com. They have deals on discontinued styles for sunglasses every now and then.

Every other corner in NYC. No one will ever know if there real or fake.

Except when they fall apart in 3 months.

If you want Oakleys, just buy some Oakleys. You get what you pay for.

Agreed. My son has won several pairs in races and they are very good quality. Lucky for me, he shares!

What he said. Just buy the real deal. You won't be disappointed.

I splurged and bought myself a set of Oakleys for Christmas. I dont regret it one bit.

I originally bought a pair and after a week I decided I wasn't 100% happy with the feel and I didn't feel comfortable about them staying on while on a boat. I returned them and paid a little more for the Flak Jacket Polarized and I wear them whenever I can now.

Crystal clear optics and superb comfort.

    This.

You definately get what you pay for in glasses. I have been wearing the same pair of Native's for nearly 4 years now. Flawless, and a lifetime warranty.

I have to agree about paying for quality. You can't realize the benefit of a good pair of sunglasses until you've worn them. I fish occasionally, and a good pair of glass is hands down the most important piece of equipment I own.

Your eyes use a bunch of energy. They harder they have to work, the quicker you get tired. Protect your eyes. They are very important. Foakleys will most likely have poor glass, ie plastic.

I can vouch for the quality of Costas and importance of spending the extra money on a good pair of eye protection.

Why would you pay $150 for a pair of sunglasses. You can get some really good stuff a lot cheaper. And honestly ..... $600 for a pair of Oakleys. Way paying to much for nothing but fad, name and egos. I think you need more than one pair. You need something for low light... yellow or amber and something for bright sun.

I bought a pair of fake oakleys on eBay for $15. I didn't want to pay for real ones because I'm really good at breaking or losing sunglasses. Surprisingly enough I have had these for over a year and they haven't fallen apart yet. Holding up good for $15.

I never did get into the Oakley craze. I've had two sets of Maui Jims and love them! Great sunglasses.

And remember, the more expensive the pair...the better you take care. I just made that up...its true though. :)

I bought a pair of oakleys from the oakley semi at the Indy 500. They were $90. Is that a lot of glasses, well yeah. However, i've had them now going on 3 years and they are like the day I bought them and I wear them every day. I went through tons of fakes but the real... yeah you get what you pay for...

On the polarized portion, make sure they're usable... for example, my car has a heads up display, with a polarized lens, it does not show up... therefore I got the amberish lens (reddish / brown) and they are fantastic, great in both direct sunlight and low light as well. I wore them on my way home from work when it was raining and could see better with them on than off.

I finally caved in and bought the polarized Flak Jackets XLJ.

Worth every penny compared to the cheaper ones I've burned through.

Just buy the discontinued models on close out. You can get them for a pretty decent price.
