Our walmart started stocking the archery equipment this week. Same thing as always, 3 times the number of Allen cheapo's than Muzzy/Thunderheads/Crimsons etc. Every hunter you talk to is using the latest and greatest or the proven brands....so I have to ask. Who is taking to the woods with the Allen 3 blades that cost $6 for 3?

Walmart sucks! I wouldn't buy toilet paper there let alone archery equipment! I'll stick with my Magnus Stingers, Snuffers and Woodsmans I buy from sponsors of the forums that I'm a member of!

Walmart does suck, but its hard to avoid. Just seems odd that they are selling low priced heads 3-1 of the others, yet no one is using them?

Jeff, those dozen broadheads will last you a very, very longtime! Great customer service and a lifetime guarantee, any damage done send it back and they will send you a replacement or two!!!!

I work part-time at the Wally world while I'm going through school, and even though we stock more of the Allen crap, it's no where near being the biggest seller (atleast in my store). What we sell asbolutely TONS of is the Muzzy 100 Gr. We can't keep those in.

And what's really scary is the guys that come in and give you a story about how they bought a bow today and are gonna go hunt in the morning, then they go buy 3 or 4 random arrows (whatever looks the coolest) and a pack of Allen broadheads (their favorite color!).

I get plenty of laughs when I'm working sporting goods. Some of the people that come in are just so unbelievable and it seems like they've all seen a 200" buck in the last week!!

But then again though, there are alot of guys that come in that seem to really know their stuff and they're always fun to talk to. Seems like I start getting pretty distracted talking to hunters around October and November, but hey it's being friendly to the customer is how I look at it, lol. In fact a couple guys I met last year and got to talking to were actually registered users on AT or HN

I will never understand how people spend 600-1200 for a complete bow, 70-150 on arrows and then try to go cheap on the broadheads.

It is like buying a sweet Camaro, getting some sweet 20 inch rims and finding the cheapest tire you can afford and expecting the tires to live to the performance of the car.

I think that with the people on these forums bowhunting is a passion, we tend to take pride in what we do. There are a lot of hunters who bowhunter just to extend their season without putting much thought into it.
