I thought the same thing, but the charge, second-degree unintentional murder charge does not need intent.
My thoughts on the whole trial....I go back to the morning I saw the story on the news where I saw the cop kneeling on the guy and thinking what the f are you thinking. This was before all the other crap and dialog etc that went down, when you first saw it you knew that it was not right.
I didn’t watch a single minute of the trial and really don’t know whether he was guilty or not but I do know that if I was on that jury I’d have picked guilty on all counts regardless of the evidence. I would convict simply because there is a pretty good chance that had he been acquitted the names of the jurors would’ve eventually been leaked, either by the defense or some activist employee of the courts or justice department. Heck, it wouldn’t be that hard for your own employees/coworkers to figure it out by just looking at the timing of your absense from work for jury duty. I am prepared to defend myself from a couple crackhead home invaders if it were ever necessary, but fighting off half the population of a major city thats armed with Molotov cocktails and bricks is a little out of my league. I would’ve locked his ass up regardless of the evidence or law, it simply boils down to the fact that I don’t want to risk getting my face smashed in by bricks then being burned alive by an angry mob. Not sure if “jury was afraid for their lives” is a legitimate avenue for an appeal but if so then I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked. Ive thought since the very beginning that it’s kind of nuts that they didn’t move the trial to somewhere else. Kind of hard to imagine that one could get a fair trial in that atmosphere. Not saying he isn’t actually guilty, but if he is then they’ve created an additional argument for him to make at appeal which could’ve easily been avoided by simply moving that **** to a more neutral location. Hmm... if that charge doesn’t require intent then they really ought to just mention that in the name of the charge... oh wait... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Not many in law enforcement carry revolvers these days. You seem to be a bit of a troll in your postings, maybe a bit of a China bot mentality when obviously not one. Not sure what your current purpose is after 5 years of nothing since joining, but I look forward to debating you just the same
Covid started back in 2017, got it, sorry you couldn't post since the advent. You're a troll by definition because you are responding to posts from years ago with no real purpose to your answers. Can't remember the last forum I joined several years earlier before commenting on 5 year old posts.
Come on Chief, it is like a hockey fight, nobody has their sweater over their head or has gone down to the ice let them keep throwing punches until then.
Don’t worry Sota. It was just a joke. I haven’t seen anything posted yet that would get the thread locked. It’s probably coming, but not yet.
we need some drama and fun around here (deer season IS closed after all), I'd take Germ on in a one on one, but he hides behind the ignore feature ...
