    I was shocked when I heard this yesterday. He was for sure one of the best whitetail minds alive. As sad as this is, I do think it is fitting that he passed away on a full moon.

    It's very sad to hear of his passing. He was so passionate about his work. RIP Mr. Alsheimer.

    I had the fortune of attending several of his seminars and chatting with him in person. Great, down to earth guy who was passionate about what he did and a helluva a photographer to boot. His contributions to the whitetail world will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. RIP Dr. Alsheimer.

    I was completely shocked when I heard this. I always enjoyed watching D&DH TV. His articles were always interesting reads.

    He will be missed.

    I met him once at a game dinner, very nice person. We spoke for about 25 min.

    we spoke about deer hunting and his place in NY.
